He reassured me it was safe and he couldn’t take any money from my account, only needing those details to get the refund sorted. He said he didn’t want my full card number since that’s how scammers usually steal. I asked if I could check with someone higher up, and he gave me a supervisor’s name, Andrew Watson, along with a phone number. I said I’d call back to confirm and he said that was fine. Once I hung up, I tried ringing the original number back but couldn’t get through at all. Then I contacted Blackhorse Financial’s official customer service who told me it was a clear scam since all PPI claims are already closed. The guy sounded really convincing, even throwing in a supervisor’s contact, but Blackhorse confirmed neither number was theirs.
