6 yearsReceived a call from this number earlier and I picked up with a simple "hello." Strangely, after a mere five seconds, they cut the line. Quite odd, if you ask me!6 yearsI was met with the usual din of a call centre in the background when a chap with an Indian accent greeted me with a rather cheerful, "How are you doing? Are you alright?" Naturally, I was curious about who I was speaking to. He identified himself as Simon from some solicitors, sounding quite keen to discuss a compensation sum of around four thousand, three hundred and something. I started to express my disdain for his tactics, especially in these tough times, but he cut the line before I could finish. Looking back, I regret not keeping him on the phone a bit longer; perhaps it would have prevented him from targeting someone who might be more easily swayed. The atmosphere in that call centre felt incredibly hectic and frankly, quite alarming.Simon6 yearsReceived a rather peculiar call from someone purporting to be from a traffic authority, stating that I was implicated in an accident and that the other party's insurance had reached out to them. I had a bit of fun with it and mentioned I had indeed been in an accident, but alas, I had passed on and was shocked that my mobile was still operational from beyond the grave. The cheeky caller referred to me as a zombie before abruptly ending the call. Quite the chuckle! 😂7 yearsThis number has been calling my 9-year-old daughter repeatedly, and I’m utterly baffled as to how they obtained her contact details. It's a line she reserves solely for family and a couple of friends!7 yearsReceived a call at half past eleven on the 27th of January, 2020. A lady with a distinctly British accent inquired whether I had recently been part of a road traffic incident. After I answered "No", she persisted, asking about any accidents over a longer timeframe. Strangely, she wouldn’t disclose which company she represented, but claimed the information was sourced from the "road traffic statistics department". Then, a gentleman with an Indian accent took over and reiterated the same narrative. It was clearly nonsense, but what truly irked me was that they somehow reached a disposable mobile number that has never had credit loaded onto it, and which I've only shared with the NHS and one other firm. It seems that one of them is trafficking numbers, and I intend to investigate further.NHSSubmit Your Own Report (0161 518 3987)
