Some guy rang me saying he was from the MIB Motor Insurers Bureau, claiming i’d had an accident in the past couple of years. I told him i work in insurance fraud investigations and he just hung up on me. Definitely not the MIB - sounds like a scam to me. The real MIB usually send letters, they don’t phone you about accidents. If they get involved, it’s usually because you were driving uninsured and hit someone, which normally involves the police first. Best avoid these dodgy callers completely.

Got a call from a guy speaking very broken English with a strong accent. He claimed to be from the "Accident information centre", but it felt like one of those scams trying to get personal details. I blocked the number straight away. When I searched the number after copying it, turns out it’s called me multiple times already (my phone blocks but still shows call attempts). The number is from Manchester, but I’m pretty sure the people calling aren’t even based in the UK. Watch out everyone.

Got a call from someone saying I’m due some money from a car crash I supposedly had. I asked them when it happened and they said last year, which isn’t true. When I said no, they switched it to 2018!
