I received a message on my voicemail earlier. It was a pre-recorded voice and had a distinct accent. The caller claimed that I have an outstanding debt with the tax office and urged me not to disregard the message. They warned that should I fail to return the call, I could expect to hear from legal representatives.

I received a rather alarming voicemail that I feel compelled to share. It urged me not to overlook the call and insisted that I return the call promptly. The message claimed that I owe some funds to the Revenue and warned that should I fail to ring back, a solicitor would be involved. To top it off, it was a rather robotic-sounding recording with an American accent. Just a bit unsettling, to say the least!

Got a message from some American woman's robotic voice, and right away it felt dodgy when she told me 'Don't ignore this message.'

Got a dodgy phone message pretending to be from HMRC, warning me to ring them back or get in contact with my solicitor, else there'd be legal trouble coming my way!! Pretty clear it was a scam since it was one of those robotic recorded messages and not a real person. They even left a voice message for me to listen to.
