Got a call from someone claiming to be from EDF. Thing is, I don’t even have an EDF account. I just ended the call right there.

I got a call from this number claiming to be from EDF, and it sounded genuine. They were talking about my smart electricity meter that wasn’t working properly. We arranged for an engineer to come out and sort it, so it all seemed quite legit.

I got a call from this number so I called EDF right away after hanging up, just to check. They said they don’t use callers like this at all. If you’re ever unsure, just give EDF a ring directly. Total scam, don’t trust these people - they’re awful!

some bloke i dont know left me a voicemail saying my EDF meter’s not working right and that they’d sent an engineer over, told me to ring them back. but theres nothing wrong with my meter at all, so watch out for that kinda call.

Some bloke I don’t know left a voicemail about my meter not working and mentioned they’re sending an engineer over. He asked me to ring back. Not sure if there’s really an issue with my meter or if it’s a scam, so watch out!

I've just had a bloke from mpass come by, he was looking into an issue with my smart meter connected to EDF. The number is 01615133535, so it’s definitely legit, not a con or anything. Turns out the battery in the smart meter was faulty. He was really nice and didn’t take up much time at all. No need to panic, seems like they’re just fixing a simple problem.

Felt like a scam at first since loads of offshore call centres call me all the time, so I ignored a few. But when I finally picked up and asked some questions, they already had my EDF account details and my address. Next day, as promised, an MPAAS engineer turned up. Weirdly, when I phoned EDF to confirm everything was legit, they said they had no idea about it.

At first, I ignored a few calls coz they just seemed like those scammy call centres from abroad. But on the last one, when I asked some questions, they actually knew my EDF account number and where I lived. The next day, an MPAAS engineer showed up like they said they would. The strange bit? When I rang EDF to double-check, they had no clue about any of it.

At first I thought it was just another scam call like the many offshore ones, so I ignored a few. But on one of the later calls, when I asked for info, they surprisingly knew my EDF account number and my address. The next day, an MPAAS engineer actually turned up as planned. Weird thing was, EDF didn’t seem to have any record of this when I rang them to confirm if it was legit.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from EDF about a gas meter, but I don’t live there anymore. They were asking for info about the new tenant and when I moved out - all stuff EDF would already know. I just ended the call.

Got a call today from someone saying they were from EDF, even had my full name and address. They told me I needed to book an appointment for an engineer to come sort out a fault. I was a bit suspicious, so I rang EDF myself and they said there was nothing logged about it. When they called again, I told them I'd checked with EDF and then they just ended the call straight away.

I had to book a day off work 'cause they said someone from EDF would come to sort out my smart meter. Ended up waiting all day and no one showed up. Honestly, I'd be careful trusting these lot.

I had some trouble with my EDF smart meter as it wasn't linking up properly, so they couldn't get a reading. Turns out, they do fix these issues with the meters.

I got a call telling me my smart meter had stopped working and that an engineer was set to come round. It made me uneasy so I looked up the number - it wasn’t an EDF one. I then rang EDF direct and ended up waiting on hold for more than half an hour. After that, I sent them a message saying I wouldn’t agree to the visit unless they confirmed it first. Still no word from EDF yet.

I let this call go to voicemail since it seemed like just another dodgy scam. But actually, they left a message about my smart meter not linking up with the provider. I was a bit suspicious, but after looking up the number here, it seems legit after all. Glad I took a minute to check!

About seven weeks after notifying EDF about a problem with my Smart Meter, I got a call from MPAAS arranging for an engineer to visit and fix it. They only asked for my postcode during the call and nothing more. Once we set a date for the engineer, I rang EDF to double-check and they confirmed MPAAS do indeed handle that work for them. From what I can tell, MPAAS seem legitimate. I’ll update here if anything goes wrong when the engineer arrives.

Got a call from MPAAS about my smart gas meter not linking up properly with EDF, my energy provider. They already had everything like my postcode and some other details, didn’t ask for anything weird or personal. Sorted an appointment with them to fix the connection. Turns out MPAAS does a lot of work with energy firms that supply smart meters. Had a look at their site mpaas[###] and seems legit.

I got a call from empaas saying they were from edf energy about resetting my smart meter. But then I checked their phone number online and it looked legit, so turns out it wasnt a scam after all!

I got a call from a firm representing EDF, so it wasn’t a dodgy scam attempt like some people think (at least for me). They rang up about my electricity smart meter not sending signals properly, which is true. It’s been out of order ever since Npower tried to "sort out" the gas meter, which hasn’t properly worked as a smart meter at all.

I got a call from someone saying they were from EDF Energy, telling me there’s a problem with my smart meter that needs fixing. They even knew my full name, which made it sound legit at first. But something felt off, so I refused the request and rang EDF directly. They said they haven’t got any issues logged with my meter and never sent anyone out. The number they used seems to belong to a genuine company, but I’m not sure if the callers were faking it, maybe spoofing the number or something. I've just blocked the number now. If EDF need to get in touch, they’ll have to do it through their official contact line.

So, these guys called Mpaas came round to reset my meter, supposedly for EDF. They seemed alright, but they’re pretty new and not very well known. When I tried to check with EDF, they acted like they had no clue about Mpaas working with them, which was a bit confusing and made me a bit wary.
