On the 21st of June, 2019, around 5.15 in the evening, I received a call from someone with an Asian accent. He threatened to send bailiffs over for an unpaid tax debt, saying I had to pay £5,000 upfront. He said his name was John Smith, which seemed odd to me. When I asked for the tax reference number, he just wouldn’t give it. Definitely a scam, so watch out!

Just like all the others, this one was from some American called officer Tracy Bell claiming to be from HMRC. Honestly, when are these con artists gonna figure out HMRC never calls anyone? It’s a proper nuisance.

Managed to track the number without a hitch. Reported it straight away to the cops since it popped up on their system. The call was some dodgy American voice on a recorded message saying I needed to act fast for HMRC, which is why the Police got involved.
