Got a call on my hubby’s mobile, and the person asked if I was someone else. They claimed they’d just talked to our daughter, which was odd cos we don’t have one. When I asked what it was about, the caller wanted to know if we were claiming benefits. I said no, and they seemed quite shocked. Then they said they’d take our details off their list.

Hi, just wanted to share that this number is from EnergySuite about the Green Homes Grant. They offer grants for energy saving improvements through the Government’s Eco and the new Green Grant Scheme. We actually got a free boiler after qualifying. They rang me earlier but I didn’t pick up since I didn’t know the number, then I got a text straight away explaining who they were and why they called, plus a number to contact. Thought you might find that useful.

Got a call from a woman saying there’s a government scheme to replace my boiler and wanted to know how old it was. I just told her straight up it’s a scam. She kept saying it wasn’t though. I asked her to send me the info through the post if it was legit. She then said people don’t get letters anymore, everything’s done by email now. Haha, yeah right. Blocked her.

Picked up the phone as I was expecting a call from the hospital, but it wasnt them. It was some Green Energy company. When I asked where they got my number from, they just said their list. Told them I’m on the TPS and they shouldn’t have my details. The lady said sorry and promised to take me off their list. We will see about that. I’ve blocked them anyway!!

This is definitely a scam, they go by the name EcoSave but they're a fake company. When I asked where they got my number, they just hung up on me. Proper dodgy.

Once the lady wrapped up chatting with her mate about sneaking in through a window and flashing her backside, she suddenly noticed I’d picked up (professional). She then said I’d been chosen because I got a new boiler. I let her know she’d got the wrong end of the stick and hung up straight away.

Putting personal views aside, if they’re all based in a call centre, they’re breaking lockdown rules. Even if harassment fines don’t apply, they could get penalised for that.

Got a random call about some government boiler scheme. I didn’t even let her finish, just told her we don't have gas here and I’m not into these cold calls, so ask them to remove my number. Then I just hung up.
