Somebody pretending to be from my energy provider called me. After I hung up, I phoned my real energy company and they said they hadn’t reached out at all. Bit risky, that one.

these pest dont stop ringing, ive had about 5 calls this week alone even tho ive blocked the number - feels kinda like harassment now

Whenever i get annoying calls i just tell them i'm signed up with the TPS - the Telephone Preference Service, and they usually end the call and dont bother again. Just google it, add your number and it should block those pesky calls for good!

I saw the number and thought it was likely a scam so I ignored it. Reading other replies here just made me more sure, so I’ve blocked the number now. Honestly, don’t pick up calls from numbers you don’t know, it’s almost always some dodgy scam.

Got a call sayin I had to ring 0161 5096047 or there’d be big trouble, sounded proper dodgy with a recorded voice claiming to be hmrc. Just hung up, didn’t trust it for a second.
