Received a call regarding some supposed marriage tax allowance form that I supposedly completed. Honestly, that’s a load of rubbish. I’ve never filled in anything of the sort.

Loads of calls from someone saying they were from the tax office about some married tax refund. I told the person I’m a bit deaf (which is true) and asked them to send anything in writing if they really wanted to give me info, 'cos I just couldn’t catch what she was saying. They keep using blocked numbers but changing the last few digits every time, so I’m just blocking every one of them as they pop up.

Even though I've blocked the number, the calls still manage to get through somehow. I don't know who it is, so I just let it ring without picking up.

Yesterday this number called me about some tax refund. A lady said I might be able to get some money back from my wife’s tax. I was really suspicious and didn’t want to give her my wife’s NI number since I had no clue who she was. The worrying part is she already had loads of my info - my full name, address, both my home and mobile numbers and I even ended up giving her my own NI number by mistake. When I wouldn’t share my wife’s details, she promised to send me the official company name to prove she was legit. Of course, no company name ever came through.

I received a call from this number claiming to be regarding a marriage tax rebate. When I informed them that it wasn't applicable to me, they bizarrely suggested it must be my husband who was entitled. Despite my repeated assertions of disinterest, they persisted with their inquiries. Eventually, I told them I had someone knocking at my door, which gave me the perfect excuse to end the conversation abruptly.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent who introduced himself as Darren (!!). He claimed it was about a tax refund I supposedly asked about. I never made any such enquiry! Ended the call right there. Zoned his number off my phone.

Watch out, this is a total scam and quite risky! Don’t share any info with them. About a year back, I filled out one of their forms, but my husband’s accountant warned me it was dodgy. They already had both our details and were poking around his accounts. Since then, we've had nothing from that company because he put a stop to it on our behalf. If it were a legit business, surely they’d have asked why we blocked them on different sites!

Today, 24th November, at about 1:02 pm I got a call from 0161 505 1206. A bloke with an Indian-sounding accent asked to speak to me by my full name. He claimed to be from some Tax Claims company. I told him straight up I wasn't interested and pointed out he sounded like a scammer. When he asked me why, I said he was probably just after my bank details or NI number, which I never share over the phone. This was the second time this number has rang me in two days and I'm sure it's another dodgy scam.

Today, on 22nd November at 11:17, I got a call from 0161 505 1206, which is a Manchester area code. The man on the other end said he was from some group handling marriage tax allowance claims. I've had a few calls like this before from different Manchester numbers, so I just told him to stop calling. From what I've seen before, they usually ask for stuff like your bank info or national insurance, which seems dodgy to me. Looking at other comments about this number, it seems like it's almost certainly a scam. I’d say it’s best to be cautious with this one.

Been getting calls from this and a few other numbers like it 3 times now in just a few days. They claim it’s about my marriage tax allowance, but I’ve never put in a claim. Told them it might be my husband, but he was right here and denied it too. Definite scam trying to nab your NI number and bank details! Don’t give them anything, I just blocked the number.

I received a call purporting to be regarding a Marriage Tax Allowance form that I supposedly completed. When I informed them that I hadn’t done so, they suggested it might be my husband who filled it in instead. They clearly already had both our names but then proceeded to request my National Insurance number and banking info. It’s clearly a scam! I urge everyone to refrain from disclosing any personal information. This marks the third time in just as many days I've been contacted by this and other similar numbers, all giving the same spiel - I’ve had enough and will be blocking them!

This morning, I got a call from 01615051206 on my mobile, but it showed up as spam. I decided to ring back using a different phone, and the person said it was about marriage allowance. I mentioned I wasn’t eligible since neither me nor my husband had a private pension. He then asked if we were on any benefits, and I explained my husband is blind, but we don’t get any benefits. He said we didn’t meet the necessary criteria for the allowance. I reminded him I’d already said that at the start of the call, and then he just hung up. So I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.
