Today, I received a rather peculiar phone call from a lady inquiring whether I’ve experienced any recent mishaps. She hinted at the possibility of hefty compensation if I had, which struck me as rather suspicious. Upon mentioning that I hadn’t had any accidents, she abruptly ended the conversation without so much as a farewell. It’s evident she's merely trying to ensnare unsuspecting individuals-talk about a waste of time!

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be working for Direct Line, LV, and some other firms, saying my life insurance needed updating. They said loads of folks were having trouble paying because of furlough. When I mentioned I didn't have any problems, Reece got really aggressive and started threatening me, saying Covid isn’t covered as a critical illness and I had to switch my policy immediately. Then he added that the insurers’ phone lines would be too busy for me to sort it out myself. He ended the call abruptly when he realised I wasn’t going to fall for it.

Got a call from someone asking about my son’s car insurance. Thing is, he’s never owned a car and, to make it worse, he passed away three years ago. Strange one.

Told them I wouldn’t be talking over the phone since I had no idea who they were, and mentioned my husband was at work. Then the caller cheekily said, "You don’t need your husband to hold your hand," and even asked if I was alright. I mean, seriously, with everyone stuck indoors because of the pandemic, what else do they think? Proper rude and arrogant behaviour.
