This number just rang me up claiming I’m due £2500, then they started asking if I’ve got a credit card, any loans, or bank debts. They even wanted to know if I’m still living where I do now. I told them yes, and then they asked for my email address! Absolute rubbish.

Scam alert! Got a call from someone in South Africa who started rattling off my old address from nearly 4 years back, saying I’m due £2500. They wanted my current info to "sort out" some claim with a company I’ve never even come across before. When I questioned them, they just cut me off. Definitely stay clear of this one!

I've had numerous calls from this number but always ignored them until today. When I finally picked up, a young woman on the line claimed to be representing the National Insurance and mentioned she had a cheque ready for me. Got a call from someone claiming to be from the payment protection dept, wanted to confirm my address to send some sort of authority letter, probably related to PPI refund. I didn't feel comfortable giving my address, so I just said no and then they just cut me off. Feels like a scam to me. Before that, I’d already received like three calls that dropped as soon as I answered.
