They ring me sometimes up to 6 times a day even tho I've blocked the number. Loads of times there's just dead silence and the moment you say hello, they hang up. Most times you can hear kids or music playing in the background. Other calls are about that PPI nonsense. They get quite rude when you tell them you ain’t due any money. Told them to sod off last time, then made sure to block the number again!

Got a call from someone blabbering on about PPI. When I said I wasn’t interested, he got really rude and pushy. He kept telling me to listen, so I asked him to remove my details from their records and that turned into a proper row. I told him to stop calling and he went off saying he doesn’t like talking to “ignorant people” like me! Honestly, what a nerve. DO NOT PICK UP ON THIS NUMBER. I’ve blocked it now.

Every time I pick up, they seem to hang up straight away, so I've taken to ignoring them. It seems that these scammers are now adopting local phone numbers instead of the usual dodgy foreign and unavailable ones to trick us. My advice? If you're unsure about a number, just let it ring. If it's legit, the caller will likely leave a proper message.

Got a call from an Asian guy telling me I was due a payment of £2,000, and he asked for my address to send the cheque.

Got a call off an Asian bloke who wanted to talk to me by my first name, then suddenly asked for my mum's maiden name. Proper strange. Told him to take me off their list, then he started asking if I had PPI - I don’t. Had to explain I never had a loan, mortgage or credit card just to make him leave me alone. Blocked the number straight away. Felt really sketchy, especially with the whole mum’s maiden name question. Definitely dodgy behaviour!

They rang me today. Wish they’d just leave me alone, it’s such a hassle. If I wanted life insurance, I’d be the one making the call, not them pestering me. And honestly, if you really need the cash, tough luck - your policy won’t cover it and they keep everything you’ve paid. Total rip-off!
