I picked up and it was some message about me being contacted by the PPI folks. Straight away I blocked the number!!!

Got a call saying it was about some kind of PPI refund I was due, and the person sounded pretty legit and well informed. But the moment I told them I wouldn’t share any info about my financial stuff unless they sent me proper written details about who they were and what exactly they were offering, they just cut me off right away.

I've been receiving calls from this number on a daily basis. I finally picked up the phone, and to my surprise, they knew my complete name and address. They claimed I was due to receive a PPI refund which would be dispatched to me. I've since blocked the number and will likely shred any correspondence that comes in the post. It all feels rather suspicious, to say the least. Just thought I'd share this in case it proves useful to anyone!

Initially, I figured it was just some dodgy spam call, but with the awful news today, it ended up being the Keith Chegwin fan club ringing about a donation. They’re trying to raise funds for a solid gold statue to go above his modest gravestone, which simply reads “Keith” and “humble,” just like he wanted. Naturally, I gave them a bit of dosh and said sorry for making them go through the runaround!

some dodgy group of nazi fans tryin to get donations for a fake beard factory in argentina. i told them i had a mate next door who once had a jewish cat (mr kabutz, the cat, not the neighbour) so i was not keen on being linked to any right-wing stuff. then the caller started going on about sending cabbage seeds or trumpet polish, saying they knew where i lived and could easily turn up and “stomple mein bollenkompf” or summat. proper creepy if you ask me.

Yeah, they keep ringing me as well. When I finally answered, the person claimed they could help me get my PPI back. I told them I’d already sorted it out on my own a few times and didn’t want a company in the middle of it. Then they just hung up on me. But they still won’t stop calling!
