I began receiving calls from this number last week, and they seem to have made it their mission to ring me twice daily during the week. It’s rather amusing that they don’t bother on weekends, as if they’ve clocked off for the day! Most times, as soon as I pick up, they hang up with no explanation, and occasionally I'm met with just silence. On one occasion, they mumbled something about PPI. It's always the same number, which feels rather dubious if you ask me. Surely, this can't be on the up and up! It ought to be against the law, don’t you think? :(

I left my phone charging upstairs earlier today and just made my way up to grab my earphones from it. Lo and behold, I noticed there were six missed calls from this particular number:

It seems whoever's behind this is quite generous with their time, giving me a break of an hour during "their" lunch period. Clearly, they wrap up their day of pestering folks right at 5pm! I'm absolutely stumped as to who they might be, but I did notice the Manchester area code.

UPDATE: As I was finishing this message, my phone rang again - this number! My son picked it up, and wouldn’t you know it, it was yet another pesky PPI claims outfit. We think they mentioned the name "Reliance Finance" or something similar. Good grief!
