Really irritating bloke who kept talking over me, acting all smug like he was some sort of genius. Wanted to know who had my number before me, and when I told him it wasn’t his, he just rattled off loads of similar names hoping one stuck. Said he’d take the name off the list but I’m not holding my breath, they’ve said that so many times before and I’ve already had six calls this week alone. No idea what they’re after since they won’t actually say, but it’s so annoying.

Got a couple of calls from this number recently. Picked up today and they asked how I was, so I asked where they got my number from. They said it was from a "trustworthy database" or something like that. Told them to remove my number from their list. They replied with 'sorry love', which was super irritating. Was actually doing data protection training at the time of the call - how ironic! Ended up blocking the number. Such a pain in the backside.

They manage to get past by switching the code from 0161 to 044161, making it look like an international call or summat. So you gotta keep blocking them, unless they figure out how to ring you from somewhere crazy like the space station.

Some young bloke called saying I could get compensation from an old credit deal. I asked him to verify my address and he refused - I said if it’s my info he’s seeing, he should be able to tell me my own address! Then he started going on about data protection like I was daft. I had a good laugh, sounded like a kid to me. Told him to stop wasting my time. Might’ve dropped a swear or two. Total time wasters.
