10 yearsWe received a rather unexpected call from this number not long ago. It turns out it was Action Claims, representing Swinton Insurance. I must say, they were incredibly helpful and quite personable too. For anyone who suspects some sort of scam, perhaps take a moment to truly listen to what they have to say. They’re not after your banking info in a dodgy way. We had nearly forgotten about our accident until they reached out, and before we knew it, there was a nice sum of £1,750 deposited in our account just a brief chat later. Honestly, for some, it may seem unbelievable, but do try to keep an open mind. Let’s be realistic, folks. They were genuinely lovely people. Cheers!Action ClaimsSwinton Insurance10 yearsWe received a call from someone claiming to be from AIG regarding an accident that supposedly occurred last February. The thing is, we haven’t had an accident in quite a while now. Once we stated that we had no knowledge of such an incident, they abruptly ended the call. Quite the odd situation, I must say!AIG10 yearsThis number has been ringing us a minimum of twice daily for several weeks now. On the rare occasion when we actually answered, the caller just hung up on us. To make matters worse, they never leave a message even though our answering machine was activated. We used to have a policy with a different provider, but we've since switched to a new one. Perhaps this is their way of getting back at us for making that change.10 yearsGreetings! We're experiencing the same predicament with this number - it’s been ringing twice a day for the last five weeks without fail. We dialled the direct number provided by Dan and spoke to a representative who assured us that our number would be removed from their system. Fingers crossed that this incessant ringing ceases soon! Cheers to you, Dan! Best wishes, Dozer.DanDozer11 yearsAha, the light bulb has gone off! We also have a previous case with AIG from last year. Not entirely sure what they are trying to achieve here?!AIG11 yearsWe initially started receiving numerous calls from an 020 number, which we frequently missed due to our hectic schedules. After doing a quick search online, we discovered that it's associated with a scam, and it’s suggested that answering could incur charges. Now, I've been inundated by calls from this 0161 number as well. A bit of digging has revealed similar warnings about that one too. Is there any clue how these chaps are managing to get hold of people's numbers in the first place?12 yearsInitially, we kept receiving calls from an 020 number, incessantly ringing us, but due to being occupied, we frequently missed the calls. Out of curiosity, we decided to research the number online, only to discover that it was associated with a scam and that responding to it could incur charges. To make matters worse, I've now started getting calls from a different number, this time an 0161. Another quick search reveals that this one has a similar reputation. Does anyone have any thoughts on how these scammers are managing to get hold of people's phone numbers?12 yearsI've received a barrage of calls from these folks over the last few days. Each time I answer, the line seems to drop within moments, forcing us to call back. Except for one occasion, every time we've tried, it's just been disconnected straight away. Finally managed to get through to someone who claimed they were representing AIG Direct, asking about an accident we’d been involved in and whether we’d sustained any injuries. Quite the hassle, I must say!AIG DirectSubmit Your Own Report (0161 491 7202)
