I’ve been getting loads of calls, then texts, all about the same stuff other people here mentioned. It’s honestly so stressful. I’m certain I don’t owe anything. Thanks to everyone sharing their experiences, I’ve reported it as a scam now. If you’re getting annoying texts, you can forward them to 7726 and your phone company will send them to their fraud team to look into it. That’s exactly what I’ve been doing and it helps a bit.

Got a text from a number claiming to be Moorcroft Debt Recovery. I checked and while the company is legit, this particular phone number is flagged as a scam. Definitely be careful if you get a message from them!

I got a text supposedly from Moorcroft claiming they’d been attempting to reach me. It mentioned something about my situation and asked me to call them back with a reference number. But it’s dodgy because I don’t owe anything and it’s definitely not from a genuine debt collector.

This number texted me asking me to ring them back and gave some reference number with the name Moocroft. I did a quick Google search and stumbled upon unknownphone.com, which flagged the number as a scam. Appreciate the warning!

Just got a random call on my mobile from 01614752928 telling me to get in touch quick or check out their site www.mdrl.co.uk with some code 0042968924952. The weird bit is, I'm signed up with TPS, so shouldn't be getting these sort of calls!

Got a message telling me to ring them asap or check their site with a ref number. Figured I’d look up the number first and stumbled on this site. Deleted the message straight away!

So this number sent me a text with a ref number telling me to ring them back. I did a quick search on Google and saw it’s linked to some company called Moocroft, but loads of people say it’s a scam. Honestly, I don’t have any debts with anyone, so I just ignored it.
