The sad truth is it needs loads of people doing this before it makes a real difference, but loads of people report scam calls here daily. You wont see instant results, but if no one bothers to act, these scams will just carry on forever.

BEWARE! Make sure to report any scam tries straight to the police fraud site. Just search ‘action fraud’ on Google and head to the ‘police.uk’ webpage. Find the ‘report phishing attempt’ section and carefully read through everything there. Then put in the details of the scam, including any links or website addresses you have. You don’t need to register or share personal info unless you’re reporting an actual loss of money. Reporting each and every call or text like this is the only chance the police have to track and stop these scams.

SCAM!! Make sure you report every scam call or message straight to the police fraud site. Just search for ‘action fraud’ and head to the ‘police.uk’ website. Find the ‘report a phishing attempt’ section and take a look at all the info there. After that, enter the details of the scam, including any links or web addresses you got. You don’t need to sign up or give personal info unless you’ve actually lost money from the fraud. Reporting all these calls and texts is the only way the police can keep track of these attempts to scam us.

The call showed up like it was from the UK, but it was this Asian guy who said his name was Brian and he was from Mumbai. He told me his company was something like home benefits. They didn’t bother to identify themselves, so we didn’t even have a chance to answer, and they didn’t leave a voicemail either - which always makes me think it’s dodgy. Blimey! Yet another dodgy call, and this one has me genuinely concerned. I just received a call from some bloke claiming to be Mikey, and he was using my name! The number he called from is 0161 464 9020 - from Manchester, England (I never confirm my identity, in case you were wondering). He claimed to be from Cordyal, conducting a survey about schools. His question was, “May I ask which year your child is in and what school they attend, madam?” I usually panic over any scam calls, but when they involve kids, it's particularly troubling.
