I recently encountered a rather dodgy situation involving a domain name. These folks were masquerading as representatives of Nominet, but after looking into it further, it became clear they had no ties to the organisation whatsoever. They were attempting to fleece me out of £900 for a domain that I could easily procure for a mere £2! Quite the con, if you ask me!
