I picked up since it showed as a local call and I’ve got elderly folks at home so thought it might be important. The bloke asked for my son, who’s never given my number out. I said that and he just mumbled a bit before hanging up.

I keep receiving calls from this number relentlessly. It’s some sort of accident claims company, apparently related to road traffic accidents from two years back. When I requested them to share the third-party information they supposedly possess, they suddenly began spouting off about Data Protection regulations. What about my own privacy, I ask?! Got called two times today from two separate numbers, both times they were looking for someone else, not me.

Totally a scam, they started asking about some crash I was supposedly involved in. I told them I got badly hurt, my head was nearly destroyed and I’m still missing body parts. The woman got all rude and just ended the call. Bit irritating but I couldn’t help having a chuckle at it all.

When I pressed them for details, specifically what vehicle I supposedly drove, the caller just said, "You know." I immediately called it out as a scam, and the woman on the line had the audacity to say, "How could this be a scam if we have your full name and address?" She then recited my information back to me. I informed her that I was recording our conversation and intended to file a report. At that point, she abruptly ended the call. Quite the cheeky tactic, isn't it?

I received a call claiming that I’d been involved in an accident within the last couple of years, and they promised a £2500 cheque was on its way. I told them no, in fact I did it on purpose - crashed right through a call centre’s big glass window and ran over 5 people working there. Then I asked them where they were calling from, if they knew their own address or not. The line just cut off!

Just got my third call from 0161 414 0277 on my mobile, which also gets calls from my work landline. The person said it was about a recent small accident I’d had. I asked the man, who had an Indian accent, who he was talking to and he said Mr Sin. Then I asked him to spell it out and he said SINGH. I enquired about the company and he said AMS Manchester. When I asked what AMS meant, he said Accident Management Services. When I asked for the postcode, he said BH5 2JR but when I asked him to repeat it, the call disconnected.

Got a phone call from 01614140277 about some “accident supposedly in the past 2 years”. The lady on the line sounded Indian, but her accent was really hard to understand. Just a day before, I had a call from 01614140275 about the same issue (again, another Indian accent) so I looked them up and found out it’s a scam. Seems like they have a bunch of numbers all based around Manchester to make these calls. Even if you say you’re not interested, they keep blowing up your phone.

I could barely make sense of the caller’s accent, which sounded distinctly Asian. The only bits that registered were “traffic,” “accident,” and, oddly enough, “last two years.” It’s quite amusing, as I had a call from 0161 414 0275 just yesterday and the chap on the other end had a similar accent-slightly clearer, but still quite thick. I couldn’t resist having a bit of fun, so I cheekily remarked, “You've got quite the alluring voice. How about we have a bit of fun?” Suddenly, the line went silent. Honestly, these callers are nothing short of a nuisance, and I took great satisfaction in jabbing at them, knowing full well they were up to no good. I do hope that one day they’ll realise that us Brits aren’t falling for their dodgy tricks any longer!

A lady speaking with a South African accent said she was from AMS Accident Management Services, asking if I’d been in a small crash in the last three months (which I haven’t). When I mentioned the TPS and told her I’d report the call, she just replied “with all respect, do what you want” and then ended the call straight away!

Got a call from a bloke claiming he was with ACM (Accident Claims Management). I told him I’m on the TPS list, but he just brushed it off saying it’s "only breaking UK law" and that it doesn’t matter since I’m supposedly in South Africa! Got a call asking me to verify some details about a collision. When I asked which accident, they had no clue. Then they mentioned my postcode, but it was all wrong. I said I was ending the call.
