Someone rang asking for a person with the same first name as mine, so I asked who was calling for them. A woman with what sounded like an Indian accent started talking really fast. I cut her off and told her I'd taken down the number, that their call was unsolicited, and I'd reported them to the police. She tried to keep going but I just hung up and blocked the number. Haven't had any more calls from them yet.

Had a call from a guy with a thick accent, seemed like he was Nigerian. He kept asking for my first name and then wanted me to confirm my postcode and house number. I kept asking what the call was about, and he said something about a survey and a £20,000 price reduction. Told him I don’t do marketing calls and to remove me from their list. I’ve had to block like 17 different numbers all beginning with 0161396. If you get a call from these digits, just don’t pick up and defo don’t answer any questions - trust me, I’ve been through it. Just block them all straight away. These people are nasty scammers.

I couldn’t catch a single word he said properly and had no clue what he was after. I told him I didn’t understand and asked him to remove my number from his list. He just said NO.
