Got a call today from someone wanting to check on my financial situation. When I asked why it concerned her, she just said it was her business, so I ended the call. Then she rang back, yelling it was HER business - I told her to buzz off and hung up once more! She tried again, but before she could say anything, I mentioned we’re on the TPS and cut her off. Definitely a pest call, not worth engaging with at all.

This morning my phone showed a call from what looked like my mate Claire’s landline, so I picked up thinking it was her. A bloke called me Miss Sharon (that was all he knew, no last name or anything) with a strong Indian accent, trying to push pension schemes and asking about my bank details. When I questioned how he’d got through using a contact name from my phone, he got all flustered and just kept telling me to listen, so I ended up hanging up.

The simplest way I found is just blocking any calls starting with 0161396... then they stop bugging you. Though I’m sure it'll just be another lot trying to sell me rubbish soon enough. I got a new motor not long ago and think these calls started after the dealer was trying to sort me a good finance deal... So yeah, watch who you give your number to, or you’ll be stuck with endless unwanted calls.

Proper rude when I explained I’m an IFA and expected the FCA to be more professional. The bloke just snapped back, “Oh look, miss know-it-all, we’re not hanging up.” I ended the call, but then he rang straight back. I’ve been getting constant calls from this lot, and no matter how many times I tell them to take me off their list, they just ignore me and carry on asking questions. Eventually, I gave up and hung up, then blocked the 0161 number on my iPhone. This firm seems really shady and clearly isn’t following the Data Protection Act. Since they’re in finance, I’m thinking about reporting them to the FCA. Maybe that’ll make them behave properly.

Somebody said they were from the "Department of Budgets and Pensions" or something along those lines. They went on about how private pensions aren’t doing well and said this was merely an update. Then they started asking me about my pensions, so I asked where they got my number from and if we’d talked before (which we haven’t). After that, they got proper rude and annoyed. Got a call from this number a minute ago, I naively picked up and all I got was one of those annoying recorded msgs saying “your call is important to us, please hold.” Like I was waiting on a queue or something. They dialled me, not the other way round. Blocked the number straight away, don’t bother answering if it rings you.

I’m so fed up with these calls! I keep blocking the numbers but they just ring from different ones, only changing one digit each time. It’s proper harassment! They’ve just called me twice in the last five minutes. I’m ignoring them but it really messes up my day! Absolute wankers!

Got a supposed "courtesy follow-up" call about some finance firm or something??? Made the error of pretending to be the person they wanted. The person on the phone was obviously reading off a script and just wouldn’t listen. When I asked who they were, no proper answer. Told them I’d just got home from work and was trying to eat tea, totally ignored again. Raised my voice to say the same, still nothing. Asked if they even understood English, they said yes. I said goodbye and hung up while they kept talking and asking when to call again!! Just cut them off.

Answered the call and they just dropped it. Had the same thing happen last week with a Manchester area code too. Just blocked the number!

I keep getting calls all the time from numbers that start with the same first seven digits, then have 3 or 4 different ones at the end. I only picked up one time and told them to never call me again, but they just wont stop. Even though I blocked every single number on my Windows phone, they still manage to get through somehow. Does anyone know how to put a stop to this constant harrassment from this company?
