Someone phoned me pretending they were from Microsoft, saying there was an issue with my computer. I don’t get how these scammers manage to call from a UK landline number when they clearly aren’t based in the UK. It’s about time there were laws to go after them because the TPS doesn’t seem to stop calls that come from abroad.

Received a call from someone saying they were with Microsoft about issues on my PC - how on earth do these scammers manage to call using a UK landline when they clearly aren’t even in the country? It’s about time they get tracked down and punished since TPS doesn’t even deal with overseas calls.
