This number rang me but as soon as I heard who it was, I just ended the call and blocked it right away.

I got a call from someone pretending to be Microsoft support. When I called them out and said they were a scam, they started being really rude and aggressive. Definitely not someone you want to deal with.

Today I got a call on my phone from a woman who said she was from Microsoft. She claimed there were signs my PC was infected and it needed fixing straight away. Speaking in a heavy Indian accent and struggling with English, she asked if I was near my computer so she could access it. I told her I wasn’t. Then, shockingly, she had the nerve to ask when would be a good time to call back. I replied, “Oh no, that’s not good,” and said I wasn’t sure when I’d be at my computer next. After that, she just hung up on me.

I received a rather peculiar call from someone claiming to be Maria, who spoke with a distinct Indian inflection. She insisted that my computer was somehow entangled in a money laundering operation and that they needed access to it. When I mentioned that I didn't possess a computer, she quickly pivoted, suggesting it must be my phone instead. Then, she went on about how my Apple device was compromised, to which I chuckled a bit since I've got a Huawei phone instead. I told her I didn't have any apples but had a few bananas lingering about, and just like that, she cut the line! Quite the entertaining exchange, I must say!

This woman called me claiming to be Sophie from Microsoft, saying there were hackers on my computer and she could fix it. First off, I told her my name isn’t Mrs Smith, then I said I don’t even own a computer. I told her she was probably the one trying to scam me. She snapped back, telling me to calm down and not yell. So, I raised my voice and said, “You’re a fraud!” and she just hung up. Typical scam!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft, but I called him out right away saying I knew it was a scam. He started swearing at me and then just cut the call. Total waste of time.

So, I got a phone call from a woman saying she was with Microsoft, telling me my computer was sending out some messages. I told her straight up she was a scammer and hung up. Later, I looked the number up on Google and even called it back. It went through to what sounded like a Microsoft receptionist and then put me on hold in a queue waiting for somebody to answer. Strange!

A very pushy bloke claimed he was calling from Microsoft, saying some dodgy stuff had ended up on my computer. I told him I wasn’t convinced he was who he said he was and quickly ended the call. Soon after, he phoned back, demanding to speak with me, still sounding really aggressive. I hung up again, but he kept coming back on another number. I told him straight up I thought it was a scam. After another call, I let it ring for ages until my husband finally picked up. He was just as rude to him, but when my husband said I was about to ring the police, the bloke hung up finally.

I got a call from someone saying they were Sophie at Microsoft Security, but I don’t buy it. I blocked the number straight away because these calls are fake, not legit at all.

Someone rang me pretending to be from Microsoft, saying my computer was infected with a virus and that they needed my info to verify it. I mentioned right away that I was recording the call. Only then did they admit they were recording too. I told them they should inform people about the recording upfront for training reasons. After that, the so-called “Microsoft technician” got really rude and told me to “F##k Off” and called me a loser before hanging up. I've blocked the number since then.

I received a call from this number, and the person on the line requested to speak to someone who wasn't me. When I informed them that I didn't go by that name, they accused me of being dishonest!

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent, said she was calling from Microsoft. Told me my PC was under some kind of hacker attack and she needed to check my serial number. I pretended to cooperate for a bit, about 5 minutes, until she got me to open a DOS command prompt. When I mentioned there were simpler ways to get the serial number, she just ended the call. Totally a scam.

I received a rather unpleasant call from someone who insisted he was from Microsoft, stating that my computer had been compromised. His manner was incredibly aggressive, and he repeatedly threatened to involve the police. Eventually, he became so agitated that he slammed the phone down. Quite the bizarre experience!

I’m in dire need of some guidance on how to involve the police. On Monday, 30th August 2021, at precisely 14:53, I received a call from someone who identified himself as "Robert." When I expressed my lack of interest, he turned quite hostile and aggressive, prompting me to hang up. To my dismay, he rang back just three minutes later, persisting with his rude and threatening tirade. Not content with merely being abusive, he went on to divulge my personal information and even issued menacing threats towards me and my loved ones! This behaviour is utterly intolerable! What steps can I take to uncover details about this company and their whereabouts so that I can ensure this matter is escalated to the proper authorities?

Just got a call from someone claiming they weren't selling anything and said they were with Microsoft. They kept saying if I didn’t follow their instructions, they’d block my computer. Honestly, it didn’t make sense - he said he needed me to log on before he could actually block it? The whole thing was so annoying. One minute he said he was from Microsoft, then suddenly he switched to saying he’s a government agent. They just want you to go online so they can lock you out. Definitely don’t log on, it’s proper scary!

some bloke named ryan rings up saying hes from cyber security, says my computer showed some weird activity recently. he asked me to open it up so he could fix it and stop hackers getting in. i wasnt too sure about it so i said no. then he started threatening me, saying he'd call the cops and get me arrested for helping the hackers or something daft like that.

Called by a lady speaking with an Indian accent, said she was from Microsoft’s tech support. She was all panicky saying there’s been some kind of security issue and I needed to log into my computer straight away. Something seemed off though, she got my name right but messed up the account holder’s name completely. I didn’t waste time and just ended the call.

I decided to humour them and asked for some kind of verification. They gave me this long code, saying it was linked to my Windows laptop licence. Problem is, I don’t even own a laptop! So I told them that, but they just kept pushing the scam. In the end, I just hung up.

A bloke rang me up saying he was from my life insurance company. He said he needed some info to review my policy, asking about my mortgage and my family. I asked him for my policy number to prove he was legit, but he couldn’t give it to me. So I just told him to go ahead and do his review without me!

I dunno who this is cause the call never lasts long enough to pick up, and they never bother to leave a message either.
