Received a call on my mobile from this number. Does anyone know whose it might be?

I've recently been receiving calls from the number 01613800253. It started just a couple of days ago on my mobile. I tried ringing it back, but it just connects to an Orange voicemail. Does anyone know who this might be, and should I be concerned about any charges?

This number has been ringing both our mobile and landline almost daily. We haven't answered since we're usually at work. To clarify, we’ve never owned a Vanquis card; the only card we've ever had is with Marbles. Could these callers possibly be connected in some way?

We answered the call, but there was silence on the other end. We decided against returning the call. If it’s truly important, I reckon they’ll try to reach us again, whoever they may be.

As soon as we clarified that all the information on our account was correct, they expressed their gratitude and mentioned they would be in touch again. We subsequently contacted Vanquis customer service regarding this issue. They advised us to look up the number online and report it, as our attempt to reach them was unsuccessful. Can anyone shed light on whether these folks are an actual legitimate company?

I wouldn’t be at all shocked if this is linked to Vanquis. Ever since I signed up with them a year ago, I’ve been bombarded with an incessant stream of calls and messages from various so-called companies eager to peddle their wares-everything from PPI to dubious debt management schemes. I genuinely suspect that Vanquis has handed over my personal information, along with that of all their clients, to these nefarious outfits. It’s rather peculiar that I’ve only provided them with my work number, yet following my application for their credit card, I’m inundated with calls-upwards of 10 to 15 daily, across all three numbers I provided. Feels awfully coincidental, doesn’t it? While it’s commendable that they enable individuals with tarnished credit to get back on their feet, do we really have to endure this constant harassment as a trade-off? It’s quite disturbing to think that Vanquis might be as unscrupulous as the very crooks they’ve shared our information with. There are plenty more, but I simply haven’t the time to list them all. I hope this sheds some light for others in a similar situation. If you happen to receive any of these calls, it’s typically a case of silence on the line or an agonising delay before they respond-definitely a red flag for a scam operation attempting to swindle you. It’s high time Vanquis faced repercussions for the irresponsible handling of our information.

Just received a call from this number, and as soon as we tried to call back, it went straight to an automated orange response line. Doesn't seem legitimate to me at all. :/

I just had a call that I completely missed!

Indeed, it’s Vanquis again. They usually seem keen on promoting their products. While we won’t speak ill of them since they do provide valuable services to those in need, we sincerely wish they’d refrain from reaching out to us with their offerings. It’s a bit tiresome, to be honest!

I’ve recently noticed calls from the number 01613800253. It only started a couple of days ago on my mobile, and now they’ve also begun buzzing our landline. We’re not convinced that this is a legitimate operation. Out of curiosity, I decided to dial the number back five times consecutively. On three occasions, I was met with an Orange voicemail, while on one instance, there was a pre-recorded message from some 'bloke' claiming we were contacted by something called Respondais, though I think that was spelt oddly. I’ll keep you posted if we manage to actually speak to anyone from this outfit.

My household has been bombarded with incessant calls from this particular number. Honestly, it needs to be sorted out immediately! Enough is enough!
