Tough one. Sounds like they might have some legal thing going on with me. Proper American accent on the voicemail, sounded like a right Yank. You’d think they’d actually check things before calling. Lawsuits aren’t really a thing here like in the States. Didn’t realise Americans were involved with our tax stuff. My brother works there and says they’d always send a letter, never call with some automated message. Blocked them straight away.

Lately I've had loads of calls where I pick up and they just hang up after a couple of seconds. From what I've read, it sounds like PPI cold calls. Got a scam call with a bit of a strange spin. When I picked up, there was silence for a little bit, then a formal male voice said, "Sorry, we're unable to connect your call. For more info, please call 003xxxxxx." Why on earth do I need to ring a Canadian number just to understand why my local phone company can’t connect the call? Got a call from 35312345 claiming to be Amazon, but I never called them in the first place. When I asked where they were calling from, they said India and even mentioned their name. Bit weird, cos I’d been emailing Amazon earlier that same day. I quickly sent another email to the official Amazon contact to check if they’d arranged a call, but haven’t had a reply since. Honestly, I’m pretty confused about what’s going on here.
