Got a call from someone claiming to be with Compare My Policy. They knew my name and started asking about my life insurance provider. I’ve never dealt with them before, so they must have got my number from somewhere. I just ended the call and blocked them straight away.

I got a voicemail from someone pretending to be from HMRC. The message was recorded and said I must call them back, or my lawyer ought to, or else there’d be some serious trouble coming my way. Seemed quite threatening actually.

Got calls from a fake company claiming to be Be Money Savvy, using the address 4th Floor, St Georges House, Peter Street, Manchester, M2 3NQ. The number showed up as [#]bemoneysavvy[###]. I'd definitely say block that number and report them as it’s a scam.

Got a phone call from someone claiming to be from Compare My Policy. They kept asking loads of questions about my life insurance - like who it’s with and the cover amount. They also kept pushing me to give my age, which felt really odd. Wouldn’t trust them at all.

Just got a call like this myself. The person claimed to be from my life insurance firm with “exciting news” about my policy. I told them to ring me after 5.30pm. They quickly said, “Don’t forget, we’ve got great news for you” - yeah right, sure you do. Funny how they knew the name of my insurer. Beware everyone, these scammers are getting way too clever and chatty on the phone nowadays.

this number called me for the 4th time. it was some guy named gareth from compare my policy trying to push life insurance. he hung up after only 41 seconds. total scam if you ask me!

They didn't explain the reason for their call at all. When I tried asking which company they were from, they just ended the call and blocked me! Proper strange behaviour.

I just ignored the call at first. Then I decided to call back, but all I got was some weird music on the other end. Strange. So, I’ve blocked the number now!
