This number has rung me about four times just today, and usually it’s at least a couple of calls every day. Every time I answer, there’s just silence on the line. Honestly, whoever’s behind this should have their number blocked from making calls to people. Got a call from someone claiming I might get a PPI refund, which yeah, thanks for stating the obvious. The woman on the line was about as much Whitney as I am. Wouldn’t tell me which firm she was ringing from, but it was clearly a call centre. I've had calls from numbers like that like 18 times in just three days and I’m well and truly fed up with these annoying interruptions. And forget asking to speak to a manager - they just end the call straight away.

Today I got 6 calls from them. On the last one, I picked up and they said I was owed £2,000 for a PPI refund and asked me to verify my info. I wasn’t having any of that and just ended the call.

Like what others said, its clearly a call centre ringing about PPI claims, and they keep asking for someone called Mr Kamel? Ive heard that name before too. Then they check if its your phone before launching into the PPI spiel. Best just to block and ignore it.

I got a call from someone about payment protection insurance. They already had my name but kept pestering me for past addresses, pretending the one they had wasn’t right. Then they wanted my present address. The person spoke with a funny accent too. Definitely a scam, watch out!
