They keep ringing non stop all hours of the day and night. Sometimes they tell me I’m owed a big payment and say they’re from some payment plan firm, then other times they just hang up. I already reported this number back on 2nd March 2018, I told them off good and proper until they hung up. After that I blocked the number. What baffles me is how they manage to contact me again, my phone doesn't actually ring but I get a text saying I missed a call. How is that possible if the number is blocked? They claimed to be from some "payment protection team" and when I asked which company, they just said that's the company name! Complete rubbish!! What I usually do is say "hang on a sec, I'll get her for you" then mute the phone, get on with whatever I'm doing and they normally hang up pretty quick. Messes with their average call times so they don't stick around! They kept ringing anyway so I got fed up and blocked them, bit of a shame because I enjoyed winding them up a bit.

The caller stated that they would be sending me a letter regarding this matter. However, when I questioned the purpose of the call, they seemed evasive and failed to give a clear explanation. I received a call on Wednesday from someone asking for my friend's daughter. They had used my mobile number as a contact when she was around 13 years old. I explained to the caller that this was not her number anymore and they ended the call. However, they have tried calling again multiple times: 3 calls on Thursday, 3 calls on Friday, 1 call on Saturday, and 1 call on Monday. I haven't answered any of these calls as I do not have voicemail. It seems like they have been unlucky in reaching the person they are looking for.

They said they could help me claim £2500 for mis-sold PPI and asked for my date of birth. When I said no, they told me to hold for a supervisor. I ended the call. They rang back twice more trying to get me to give my date of birth. I’ve told them to stop calling, but I’m going to block the number now. I get why some people might end up giving their info, and I’m not sure if this lot are genuine, but these cold calls really shouldn’t be happening at all!

I received a call from someone claiming to be a HMRC officer named Steve, accusing me of not paying my taxes from 2009 to 2013. I explained I was still at school then, but he threatened to send the police. He never did, but after I called him back a few times, he got really rude and just hung up. Got a robo call from this number saying I needed to get in touch with them or my lawyer. I hung up straight away 'cause I knew it was a dodgy scam! Tried ringing back on another phone, and some Indian bloke answered. He asked which number we'd been called on, but we knew it was a con, so we gave him a random mobile number they couldn’t find in their system. Then we just ended the call. Seriously, don’t ring them back. If you do, never give your real number and always dial 141 before their number so your details stay hidden.
