I got a couple of calls from a London mobile saying I’d get a cheque for £6,000. Nearly got taken in by it. They told me I had to buy a £100 Paysafe card first and they’d return the money plus the cheque right to my house. Felt really fishy to me. Said her name was Jennifer Brown. Honestly, don’t trust it - total scam!

Seeing an unknown number ring, I just let it go to voicemail. When there wasn't any message left, I figured it probably wasn’t anything urgent. Most likely some kind of scam, so I’ve just blocked it.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent telling me to buy a paysafe voucher worth £170, saying they'd send me a cheque afterwards. They used an old address of mine, but since I’ve moved counties, I decided to humour the scam. Let them bother with sending a bogus cheque to a place I don’t even live anymore. These scammers are just after money from poor folks. Next time, I think I’ll say I’ve shifted to the nearest police station and see what happens!

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent telling me to buy a paysafe card worth £170, promising a cheque would be sent to my place. Problem is, they used my old address, and since I don't live there anymore, I decided to humour them. Let them bother with sending a fake cheque to a place where no one actually lives. These scammers are just trying to prey on people. Next time, I reckon I'll tell them I’ve moved and give them the local police station's address instead!

Had exactly the same thing happen to me - total scam. I just pretended to go along with it, messing about and making them hang around while I "tried to find a pen". Didn’t seem very happy when I finally told him what I thought of the whole thing.

So I got a call from 01613546765 and the person said they were from PIP. Seems dodgy to me.

I got a call telling me I needed to send £150 to a paypoint, and then they would personally bring me a cheque from Lloyds that I’m apparently owed.

This number 0161 354 6765 keeps ringing me up saying they’ve got a cheque for me. I told them just to post it over and I’d deal with it, but the guy got really rude and insisted it had to be handed over in person. I asked for his office number to call back, and he gave me 03301170165. When I tried calling that from my home phone, it just went straight to an automated voice. Definitely a SCAM!

The number 0161 354 6765 has been ringing non-stop saying they have a cheque for me. I told them just to post it and I'd sort cashing it later. The bloke got really short with me, saying the cheque needed to be handed over in person. I asked for his office number to call back, and he gave me 03301170165. When I rang that from my home phone, it just went to an automated message.

My grandma nearly got scammed by someone claiming it was about PPI, asking for payment through pay safe cards. Luckily, I looked up the number first and caught them out. Good thing I did!

They already knew my name, probably from somewhere else, and told me I’d managed to claim £2,400 in PPI compensation. All I had to do was be in on Monday when their representative would bring the cheque. Of course, there was a fee involved. I fell for a similar scam a few years back with them. They got me to buy a £100 paysafe card, and I stupidly gave the card details over the phone. They used up the card money, and as you’d expect, no cheque ever turned up. What a joke!

Apparently they already knew my name, which made it pretty convincing. They told me I had won £2,400 compensation for PPI and just had to be at home on Monday for their representative to drop off the cheque. They did mention there’d be a fee, though. A while back, I fell for a similar scam where I was tricked into buying a £100 paysafe card and foolishly gave the card details over the phone. Of course, they cashed it straight away, but as you’d expect, the promised cheque never turned up.

I got a call saying they could check if I had PPI, but then they asked me to buy some sort of pay and save card. Don't fall for this, it's totally bogus. They just want to take your cash and you won’t see any actual cheque. Complete scam.

This number, 01613546765, called me regarding a PIP claim. They provided a claim number, cheque details, and even gave me the solicitor’s name and contact info. They asked me to send a copy of my ID and a utility bill, and also wanted me to purchase a Paysafecard voucher. It all sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Sounds like one of those PPI scams to me. They try to get you to pay for a pay save card, claiming it’s a small fee, like 4% of some PPI amount they supposedly owe you. Definitely a dodgy tactic.
