So, I got a call from this number on the 17th of June 2022 at around 11:03 in the morning, but there was no voicemail or anything left afterwards.

I received a rather boisterous call from an Indian call centre claiming to be associated with "Utility Point" about my existing utility service and provider. It felt suspicious, like either a scam or a rather pushy sales tactic. Whatever the case may be, I decided to hang up promptly.

I told him it was roughly ten pence. He went silent for what felt like ages, though it was probably only a minute. When he finally spoke again, he claimed he could offer me a better deal. I just told him to buzz off!

This bloke called saying he could lower my energy costs and straight up asked how much I usually pay each month. I told him it’s £0 because it’s all part of my rent. Then he wanted to know who my energy provider was, and I said I dont have one. He still insisted he could save me cash, so I joked that I pay less than nada each month - unless he’s gonna cover my rent? To my shock, he said yes! I told him that was ridiculous and he just hung up. Total scammer! Never share your personal info with these people.

Got a bloke on the phone the other day from some place called 'Utility Point' who was all friendly and eager to help me slash my utility costs.
