I've been inundated with calls from 161-256-2589, and after several attempts, I finally managed to speak to someone. They introduced themselves as representatives from Microsoft SB3, insisting they needed to investigate some computer logs. I’d advise caution, as I've never heard of Microsoft reaching out to individuals like this. To me, it screams SCAM. I pressed them for details, but their answers were all over the place, making it abundantly clear they were not on the level.

This number has been ringing us incessantly for the last fortnight, yet every time we pick up, there's nothing but dead air. It’s becoming quite frustrating, to be honest. Maybe I should just let it go on ringing instead of hanging up, so they end up footing the bill!

Had a rather odd phone call at half past seven tonight. I inquired which company he represented and the purpose of his call, but he refused to provide any details. So, I decided to cut the conversation short and disconnected. Almost immediately, he rang me back, rambling about complaints related to shoddy internet service and computer glitches. He claimed to be from a firm that assists Microsoft and offered to guide me through some sort of de-bugging process. I politely told him where he could go and hung up once more. Definitely feels like a scam-utterly impolite and borderline intimidating, if you ask me. Tried calling the number back, but, unsurprisingly, there was no response.

I just received a call from someone claiming to be from LG Technical Support, speaking with a thick accent. They mentioned they had received some reports about our software misbehaving and running slowly. The caller then proceeded to direct me to the Event Viewer to search for error messages. After some back and forth, they suggested that a thorough scan of our computer would be necessary to rectify these supposed errors, and of course, there would be a charge involved for this 'service.' At that point, we made it abundantly clear what we thought of their so-called service and that they could keep their fees to themselves.

We've had this number call us on three occasions over the last month. Each time we pick up, there's nothing but silence on the other end. Quite peculiar, isn’t it?

Finally! I managed to have a chat with a genuine person! I had been inundated with missed calls and recorded messages that were nothing but silence. But this evening, someone finally got on the line and started rambling away (with a rather tricky accent) about my network, claiming to be from Windows. They said there was something amiss every time I logged onto the internet, which was apparently corrupting my system. Then they asked if I could hop on my computer so we could 'fix' it together. How convenient! I was just about ready to dive into that, but I decided to politely inform them that I was highly sceptical of their legitimacy and cut the call short. Stay vigilant, folks! Don’t be lured into following their dubious directions!

I accidentally answered a call that turned out to be rather dodgy! The chap on the other end was prattling on about issues with my computer, mentioning things like it running sluggishly or having trouble with the internet connection. When I enquired about his reasoning, he claimed it was because we supposedly had a Windows registration. How absurd! I decided to keep him chatting for a good ten minutes before finally revealing that we actually use Apple products. Immediately, he hung up! Classic scam attempt, if you ask me.

As soon as we answered the call, there was nothing but silence, and shortly after, the line went dead.

I received a call around midday from 161-256-2589. When I answered, there was an awkward pause lasting about ten seconds, and then a rather eerie voice piped up with a “good-bye” before the line went dead. Clearly, it seems to be one of those automated calls, presumably to check if anyone's home. I have a feeling this won’t be the last I hear from them. But that's alright! If I do happen to get a real human on the line, they’re in for a bit of a surprise. I keep a survival whistle handy by the phone, perfect for these nuisance calls. Just one sharp blow into the receiver usually does the trick to deter them from calling again. It's been quite effective previously! 😊

I've been receiving calls from this number that seem to originate from an Indian accent, purporting to be representatives from a non-existent computer support service or so-called LG technical assistance. A few others have shared similar experiences, stating that they attempt to coax you into paying a 'one-time fee' to resolve non-existent computer issues. When you try to call back, there’s simply silence on the other end. It's best to steer clear of these scammers - just hang up and make sure to report the number.

I received a peculiar call today from this number, claiming there was an issue with our laptops that required immediate attention. I retorted that my husband is a Microsoft engineer and could sort it out. Surprisingly, he questioned my certainty regarding my husband's credentials, to which I cheekily replied that perhaps I’d tied the knot with the wrong chap. His response? An assertive “yes, indeed!” followed by an invitation to hop over to India for a fix, before abruptly cutting the line. Quite the odd exchange, wouldn't you agree?

I've had this number call me thrice over the last three days. Each time, there's nothing but silence on the line, and right as the call ends, I hear a robotic 'goodbye.' Quite odd, to say the least!

I’ve been getting some peculiar phone calls lately. Initially, someone rang me up claiming to be from a technical support service for my computer, but when I mentioned I didn't even own one, the conversation took a strange turn. Then, rather bizarrely, both of my landline phones started ringing simultaneously! This time, the caller had a different Arabic accent and straightaway asked for my son-in-law, who resides overseas. They mentioned something about needing financial assistance for their organisation. To top it all off, my voice recorder recently captured some sort of foreign chatter that seemed quite suspicious. What on earth is going on?
