Totally a scam, best to just ignore these calls.

I just received a rather suspicious call from someone claiming to be from a 'tech support' line, insisting my computer had picked up some dodgy software. He was incredibly polite (if you can believe that!). I promptly informed him that he should try his luck with someone a bit more naïve and swiftly activated my call blocker.

Sounds like one of those common computer scams, probably should watch out, looks pretty dodgy to me.

Picked up the phone and all I got was silence, no one speaking on the other end.

I had a call from some bloke claiming to be tech support, saying my computer’s downloading stuff without me knowing. He asked me to switch on my PC to sort it out. I politely (well, sort of) told him to find someone who’d actually fall for that and then hit the button on my call blocker. Typical scam, really.

I only caught snippets of what the caller was saying, but I definitely heard "your computer" mentioned. I quickly informed her that I don't own a computer and hung up without a second thought. I've encountered this sort of thing far too many times before, and they won't be able to pull a fast one on me! Cheers, J r
