Just a couple of hours back, I got a call from 01612497361, which I’ve since blocked. Then, they tried again from 01612497364, and that one’s blocked too. Honestly, Manchester’s getting a reputation as the hotspot for scams in the UK. It’s a shame because real local businesses probably suffer when folks end up ignoring or blocking every 0161 number that rings them on their mobiles.

Had a call earlier claiming there's a payout awaiting me, and they mentioned sending a credit note to my place. As soon as I inquired about the source of my details, they abruptly hung up. Very suspicious if you ask me!

Just yesterday, I received a call from 01612497398, which seems quite similar. I must admit, I don't recognise anyone from that region of the country.
