3 yearsOn 29/01/2024, I got a call from a bloke with an English accent who said he was from some national survey dept. My phone flagged it as spam anyway, so I didn’t really trust what he was saying. I tried searching online but couldn’t find anything about this so-called organisation. He said he was working alongside my local council, but when I asked which one exactly, he couldn’t give a clear answer, just said “all councils.” Then I asked where he’d got my number from and he said ‘national survey department’. I told him that place doesn’t even exist and to stop calling me, then I just hung up.3 yearsJust a load of spam, nothing useful at all.3 yearsAll the numbers beginning with 0161243 are definitely fake, I got a call from one of them and it was some kind of scam. Stay away from these!3 yearsHad a rather annoying experience with a cold caller earlier! A chap with quite a limited grasp of English rang me up, trying to peddle supposed house repair services. Despite my clear 'no' on the matter, he just carried on regardless. Quite frustrating, to say the least!3 yearsGot a strange call from someone speaking really broken Arabic (kind of sounded Asian) even though the number was local UK! He kept saying something about being from the council regarding home repairs or a problem reported from my place. Didn't sound right to me, so I just blocked the number immediately. Definitely not how a proper council call would go.UK3 yearsGot a call from a different number, 01612431728 this time. Told them I'd report them to the cops if they didn’t stop.3 yearsPlease don’t bother calling me back.4 yearsGot a call from some supposed home repair company asking what kind of fixes I needed around the house. Felt like a complete con, especially since they rang me back immediately even though they clearly forgot they’d just called. Total waste of time.Submit Your Own Report (0161 243 1454)
