Despite his insistence that he was collaborating with my local council, he couldn’t specify which one - just a vague reference to all councils in general. When I pressed him about where he’d obtained my phone number, he parroted the same line about the national survey department. Needless to say, after a fruitless attempt at finding any information on such an organisation online, I stated quite firmly that I believed his entire story to be fabricated and requested he cease all contact.
