They rang up saying it was to confirm a delivery but ended up convincing my old mum to sign up for a warranty she really didnt want. She’s been told off good for handing over her bank details and as soon as the direct debit shows on her statement, I’ll be stopping it straight away. Dodgy methods, and I’ve dealt with the same kind of thing from AO before.

Yeah I had the same thing happen. Didn’t give them any of my bank details but they wanted me to confirm stuff. Seemed a bit sketchy if you ask me.

I've had a rather frustrating experience too! They insisted on verifying my bank details again and had me relay info that I'd already provided. My advice would be to simply inquire if there's an issue. If they respond negatively, just say cheerio and move on!

got a call off some online shop that said they were just confirming my delivery info but ended up trying to push me into buying an extra like an extended warranty or something. this happened just after i made a couple of purchases from them, second time they've done it. after the first time, i was a bit more cautious but yeah, they try the same thing again next day calls and all. quite clever but not fooling me this time!
