10 yearsToday I received a call from someone claiming to be Nationwide Debt Recovery about two unpaid invoices. I was a bit rushed and ended up paying without thinking properly. Really wish I hadn’t, as this seems like a scam. I’m going to report it to Trading Standards for sure. The call came from "Nationwide Debt Recovery" and also mentioned Premier Prints and On Point Prints. Be cautious! On Point Prints10 yearsI've been receiving letters from Holmefield and Associates demanding payment for advertising in their crime prevention magazine, something I never agreed to. When I rang them, I kept asking to speak with the manager or owner, but got cut off multiple times and was even shouted at. The person I always get is someone called Andrew Hardwick (what a joke), who says he's an accounts manager. I'm convinced this name is fake and the whole thing is a scam, but it's still pretty stressful getting letters threatening to send it to a debt collection agency. - caller: Andrew HardwickHolmefield and AssociatesAndrew Hardwick10 yearsI keep getting calls from Excel Premier Prints and On Point Prints, both insisting I agreed last year to advertise in some Crime Prevention magazine and now they want me to pay up. They tried to get me to pay by credit card over the phone, but I refused and asked them to send me the contract and invoices by email instead - then they just hung up on me. Then someone rang claiming to be from Nationwide Debt Recovery, telling me they’re handling the unpaid bills now. I told them I never agreed to anything and if they sent copies of the paperwork, I'd have a look. But again, they dropped the call. What’s weird is the bloke warned me it’s better to settle with the companies directly so they don’t have to get involved, despite just saying they’re already handling the debts! Proper confusing.Excel Premier PrintsOn Point PrintsCrime Prevention magazineNationwide Debt Recovery11 years23rd March Got a ring from 0161 2238605 today, they were claiming to be debt collectors about some debt that doesn’t even exist. Seems like another one of those endless fake ad scams going around.11 yearsI got a call from Holmefield and Associates the other day, going on about some crime prevention leaflet and an advert I supposedly signed up for. Total rubbish if you ask me! Definitely a scam. The woman was overly eager to toss me a Data Protection number, something I doubt any proper scammers would hand over... The annoying thing is, it was the exact same Northern lass who rang me a few months back about BCH and some child safety pamphlet. More nonsense, if you ask me!Holmefield and AssociatesManchesterBCH11 yearsTAPA isn’t a legitimate regulator - they’re actually just another piece of the same con. After failing to get to you the usual way, they switch tactics and push you to sign up with their fake regulator, TAPA, hoping to trick you into handing over money. I got hassled for years, then after a while they moved onto the TAPA nonsense for about a year. Now they’ve switched again and are sending debt collectors after me. It’s all run by the same mob. Trading Standards knows about it but aren’t doing much because these scammers keep swapping their names. - caller: 01612307497TAPACaller11 yearsThese calls keep coming from 0161 230 7497 and 0161 223 8605, and it's getting proper annoying. They're telling me I've got an unpaid bill for £299.00 or something. Anyone know how to make it stop? The caller says they're from Excel Premier Prints Ltd. Cheers.Excel Premier Prints Ltd11 yearsFor about six to nine months now, Excel Premier Printing in Manchester has been annoying me with calls, letters and adverts claiming I agreed to something last summer. I've got a hearing issue, so if I did say yes to anything, it might've been by mistake or I misunderstood the question. They're now demanding nearly £500 for an advert in some Child Safety Awareness booklet. I've asked them for a draft or a copy of the booklet but they refuse until I pay up. To make things worse, today I got an invoice for almost the same amount from another firm called Holmefield & Associates Ltd. They say it’s for an advert in their Crime Awareness Publication. Their address and phone are in London, and their terms of business are exactly the same as Excel’s. Both firms have threatened legal action, even though these invoices are only about six weeks old. The Holmefield invoice is dated 27.01.16 with a payment due on 20.02.16. Something feels off here. Could this be a scam? I’ve done some digging online - neither are listed as official publishers in their areas, and both addresses seem to be shared office spaces. The callers I've dealt with go by names like Charlie, Andy and Amanda. I even found the surname of the Excel company director in an online company directory. It honestly smells fishy to me.Excel Premier PrintingManchesterHolmefield & Associates LtdLondonHolmefield & AssociatesCharlieAndyAmandaExcel11 yearsI found out that Excel Premier Prints is actually on the warning list from TAPA (0800 773 4894). You can check it out on their website www.tapa.co.uk. Just be careful if they ring you!TAPA11 yearsComplete rip-off. We don’t advertise at all. When the bloke rang, I told him to shove off and slammed the phone down. He probably deserved worse, but I was in a good mood today, so I cut him some slack.11 yearsToday I got a call from some con artists claiming to be from crime prevention, saying we owed money for a crime prevention campaign we supposedly joined (we never signed up for anything). I've had similar calls in the past from firms named Excel Printing and Inprint. I ended the call straight away, but the bloke rang back, spoke to one of my workmates and was rude, so we hung up again. Then he called back a third time and started hurling abuse at another director in our company. This is definitely a scam!! I’m going to report them to trading standards because they’re being really nasty and persistent - caller ID showed Crime Prevention.Excel PrintingInprint11 yearsI've been getting annoying calls from two blokes, Mike and Andy, both using the same number and repeating the same spiel. They even went as far as sending me an invoice via email. This has happened about three times over the past year with different companies pulling this stunt. I've reported all their info to Trading Standards now - let them handle these dodgy scammers. - caller: Andy & Mike from Excel Premier PrintsMikeAndyCallerExcel Premier Prints11 yearsOn the 16th of December 2015, I got a call and an email from Excell Premier Ltd, claiming I owed money for some printing job I never did. They got pretty pushy, even threw out a password I apparently gave, saying they had the whole thing on tape. When I kept denying it, they threatened to send it to their solicitors. Feels like a scam to me. I’m going to report it to the Greater Manchester police since I’ve already dealt with stuff like this before.Excel Premier Print LtdGreater ManchesterExcel11 yearsSame rubbish as usual! This is the seventh dodgy firm hassling my business this year. Funny thing is, they’re all from Manchester! It's definitely a scam, a classic bogus invoice trick. They gave me an address: Suite 5, Apex House, Devonshire Street, Manchester, M12 6JQ. I'm definitely going to report this lot to Trading Standards and the local fraud team. I've dealt with loads of these before. Best not to bother with them. Also, watch out when they ring pretending to be bailiffs or debt collectors - the guy called himself Andy from Excel Premier Print. He rang up claiming we owed money for an advert supposedly placed in some Crime Prevention leaflet, which he said we agreed on a year ago! Thing is, we haven’t authorised any advertising except in our tiny local paper for at least two years. He threatened to send it to debt collectors! The number that called was 0161 230 7497 but said he could be contacted on 0161 3701515 instead. I’ve dealt with similar dodgy calls before, all complete rubbish.
