Got a missed call from a number that had an extra 0 at the start. I tried calling back, but left the extra 0 off, since I knew scammers often add digits to fake real numbers. Turns out, the number itself is genuine, but scammers are messing about by adding that 0 at the front. The poor owner must be getting bombarded with calls from confused people who got scammed - they’re, to say the least, really annoyed with the whole situation.

Got a call from some telemarketer right in the middle of my tea. So annoying!

Lately, I've noticed quite a few missed calls popping up from this number. I’m thinking it’s probably some new telemarketer, especially since it shows up here on the list. We use a phone with call blocking that requires callers to say who they are before the call connects, so I reckon that’s why they haven’t managed to get through yet. Based on this, I’m inclined to mark them as harassing.
