I received a dubious call the other day - it was an automated voice insisting that my call was 'rerouted' from BT, stating that my internet service was about to be terminated. That's when I decided to hang up. I've encountered similar nonsense from different numbers before. I recognised it was a scam almost instantly, especially since the number they rang isn't even linked to any broadband account.
