Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from British Gas, saying they needed my info to renew my contract. I told them I'd ring British Gas directly to check if the call was legit, but they just ended the call instead of arguing. Proper persistent they were though!

Got a call and this guy with an Asian accent said he was from Eon, my energy company. I asked if he'd switched me without asking, and he admitted he had. Told him I don’t even use Eon, and he replied, "Are you proud of that?" I snapped back, saying I was proud not to deal with scammers and hung up. He called back immediately, so I picked up and just put the phone down again. Then I blocked the number. I reckon he’d try to say there was a payment issue to trick me into giving details. Kinda wish I’d played along now just to see what he’d do next.
