Loads of dodgy calls from Manchester numbers have been blowing up my phone lately, all about some money scams. One time this automated voice said it was HMRC and told me to press 1 or they’d arrest me. Total scam, no way I’m falling for that! Just ended up blocking all of them.

I received a rather unsettling call from this number, with an automated voice purporting to be from HMRC, insisting that I press 1 immediately or I would face arrest. Clearly a scammer. I've since blocked the number.

In fact, I've been inundated with calls from various numbers based in Manchester, and they all seem to be linked to some dodgy financial scheme.
