I received a call from someone with a distinctly Southeast Asian accent who identified himself as representing the "Claims Advisory Group." He provided an address in Manchester, complete with the postcode M16 0TT, which indeed corresponds to a real entity by that name. Interestingly, this organisation warns about scams on their website (check out http://claimsadvisorygroup.co.uk/index.php/site/customer-annoucement/). After he confirmed some fictitious information with me, he transferred me to his so-called supervisor, who claimed to be a High Court representative. When I questioned his legitimacy, he became quite irate, insisting he was affiliated with the High Court. He mentioned having a cheque for me related to a PPI claim, which is perplexing since I've never filed such a claim. I responded that I would pursue any claims myself, which only seemed to agitate him further before he abruptly hung up.

After he asked me some fake questions, he handed me over to a bloke claiming to be a High Court official. When I questioned him, he lost his temper and insisted he was connected to the High Court. He said there was a cheque for me from a PPI claim, but I've never made any claim like that. I told him I'd sort it out myself, and he ended up getting really annoyed and just hung up.
