I've received the same pesky call a good few times, both last week and this! I finally snapped and told them I've already had this conversation, giving them no opportunity to reply before I hung up. Meanwhile, my partner ended up having a right row with them! It’s obviously a scam, so do be cautious, folks!

Today, we received a call from this number, and it was just like what others have reported: a man with a foreign accent claiming that our computer had been compromised by spyware that could pilfer our personal information. He insisted that we should follow his instructions. We chose to end the call instead.

I had a go at this just a mere ten seconds ago. I was completely clued up that it was a scam and told them to jog on.

Earlier today at about 11 o'clock, my wife found herself in a remarkably similar situation. She felt compelled to boot up her Mac-an incredibly reliable machine that hasn’t shown a blue screen ever-just to demonstrate that all was functioning as it should. The caller insisted that she carry out some sort of "diagnostic test" to ascertain whether her computer was harbouring any viruses. Thankfully, she decided to hang up the phone at that point. Incredibly, he attempted to ring back on two further occasions!

Received the same call today. Everyone, tread carefully with this scammer!

This number keeps ringing, but then just leaves me hanging in silence. It's quite bothersome, to be honest!

I had a rather unpleasant encounter with a rather pushy foreign chap who insisted there was a problem with my computer. The moment we asked for details, he rattled off our name, address, and phone number as if from a script. We let him ramble on for a bit before he mentioned he’d need to escalate things to his manager, who would then slap us with a hefty fee of £60 to supposedly sort our computer out. What a bunch of con artists!

We received a call from an Asian gentleman who claimed our computer was downloading some nasty malware. When we inquired if he was watching us, he candidly replied, "Yes." It was clearly a ruse aimed at extracting our credit card details. Rest assured, there's absolutely nothing wrong with your computer.

Cheers for the chuckle, Mezaial! :) Just had a call from that number not so long ago-roughly ten minutes back, I’d say. We just kept exchanging greetings like a couple of dafties before hanging up. After that, we figured we ought to look up the number since it was all a bit unfamiliar, which led us here. We’ll be sure to take your advice on board in case we find ourselves in a similar situation again!

April 2011. I received a call from someone who looked very similar, an Asian individual. They claimed to be downloading a virus onto my computer - it was from the same phone number. Why on earth have these people not been shut down yet? Have the authorities, perhaps Trading Standards, done anything about this? People who frequent this site are quite astute and won’t fall for such tricks, but it makes you wonder how many times they have to ring someone before hitting the jackpot. Not too many, I reckon. How worrying!

We received a call from them on Sunday, and it seems they've tried to get hold of us again earlier today, pushing their offer for Microsoft security software.

I reached out to her to clarify her location in India, but she surprisingly said she was in Luton! It’s odd because we have connections in the Asian subcontinent, yet she doesn't seem to be based in the UK. I also asked her for the name of her company as well as the type of malware or virus she was referring to, but she completely dodged the question! Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I recently received a call from someone who couldn’t explain how these individuals figured out that we were supposedly downloading “infected software.” It was baffling! They also had no clue how they identified our phone number. When I asked about our IP address, she couldn't provide any information at all. So, it’s a real mystery how they concluded that it was our computer involved in downloading this dubious content. Quite puzzling, don’t you think?

Today, we received a call from this number, and it was just like what others have reported. A foreign chap on the line claimed our computer was compromised with spyware that could hijack our personal information. Now, I like to think of myself as fairly savvy, but I must admit, my partner was completely taken in by this blokes so-called urgency! Luckily, we managed to gather our wits and told him we weren’t keen, especially after he asked us to install some dodgy software on our machine. He didn’t even bother to say another word before he cut the call! Stay alert and don’t fall for these scams!

Just like the rest, really. A chap with a strong accent rang us, insisting our computer was compromised and offering to guide us through a series of 'fixes'. We entertained him for a while until we got to the point of granting him access, at which point we dropped the bombshell that we’re a manager who knows precisely what he’s up to. When we called back the number, we got a recorded message saying the line was out of service. It didn't seem to be from the telecoms provider, more likely an automated line set up by these dodgy types.

Just like many others, I received a call from an Asian gentleman claiming my computer was compromised and that Windows had forwarded this information to me. He insisted I turn on my device so he could sort it out. It struck me as odd, so I ended the call and searched to see if Windows or Microsoft might contact individuals via phone. Turns out, it’s a complete scam! The audacity of the bloke to ring me again-when I confronted him about the scam, he had the nerve to question my understanding of the word 'scam' and inquired about my Google search. Naturally, I told him where to shove it. After that, I looked up the phone number online, and here I am on this site!

I’ve had two calls to my office already, both variations on the same scam. An Asian gentleman was on the line, insisting that my computer was infected with a virus due to some spyware. He then went on to say that they needed remote access to my machine in order to sort it all out. Utter nonsense!

April 2011. I received a call from a person with a strikingly similar appearance, quite stereotypical in fact. They were trying to prompt me to download some sort of malicious software. The phone number was eerily familiar as well. I'm left wondering why these scammers haven't been shut down yet. Has the Trading Standards or anyone else actually intervened? Those of us who frequent this site are wise to these tricks, but it makes one ponder - how many calls do they make before they hit the jackpot? Probably not as many as we’d like to think, sadly.

Regrettably, there was no response as soon as we picked up the call.

We recently had the same experience! A chap with an accent rang us, claiming our computer was infected with a virus and that he could guide us on how to rectify it. We told him we weren’t interested, and he just hung up. I'm really glad we checked the number out as well. Huge thanks to everyone who shared their experiences; it helped ease my mind!
