I got called from this number but they hung up right when I picked up. Could be a dodgy scam.

Someone rang saying they were from a company dealing with carbon savings or cutting down energy costs at home. When I asked how they’d got my phone number, they just asked if I’d been considering solar panels or heat pumps recently. I hadn’t been, but I had just gone over my water bill with Anglian Water, which also included details on checking for any benefits I might qualify for. Could just be a coincidence, but it kinda feels like Anglian might be sharing customers’ data.

Today around 3pm I got a call on my mobile from this number. A lady spoke really nicely and asked if I owned the house. I said yes. She then mentioned that apparently I don’t have any solar panels installed. I confirmed that was right. She wondered why that was, and I explained I’m a bit too old to see the benefit from them. She then asked quite nicely how old I was, and I just replied, "I’m just too old for solar panels!" She stayed polite and thanked me for my time before we ended the call. Seemed legit, nothing shady about it. TBS
