The weird thing is, there’s no name in the messages, no clue who they want. I haven’t got any letters or emails either. Proper annoying!

I gave them my reference number and then they asked me to say my name. I told them, but this annoying British bloke kept pushing me to repeat it. After I did, he said sorry, my name wasn’t on their list. Honestly, don’t ever give these guys your full name. They just caused me more stress!

This number keeps sending me scary texts about debts that aren’t even mine, and I’ve never replied. I decided to ring up Newlyn PLC using the contact details on their website, gave them the reference from the message, and they told me they’d deleted my number from their system since it belonged to someone else. Hoping now that the messages finally stop.

This has to be some sort of debt collector con. They keep bombarding me with messages every day from a name called "NEWLYN". The texts say stuff like "You didn’t get in touch during the enforcement notice time. We’re now moving to remove your things." Oddly enough, these messages only began flooding in after I went ahead and blocked the number. Proper harassment if you ask me.

I've been receiving some dodgy messages from a so-called debt collector. After I blocked their number, they started bombarding me daily using the name "NEWLYN." The texts are always the same, claiming things like, “Your notice of enforcement has lapsed. We aim to remove your possessions as per the Taking Control of Goods Regulations. Dial 01604 438534 and quote XXXXXXX.” Another one states, “We are acting on your live court order. An Enforcement Agent is scheduled to visit your address, so please ring 01604 438534 to halt this legal action. XXXXXX.” It’s all a bit unsettling, really.

I keep receiving relentless scam messages claiming that bailiffs are about to seize our vehicle and belongings. It’s absolutely infuriating! These individuals ought to be put a stop to, as they are targeting those who are already struggling. It's just despicable behaviour that preys on the vulnerable.

I received a couple of text messages from a number claiming to be NEWLYN. The first read: "The notice of enforcement has lapsed. We're preparing to seize your possessions under the Taking Control of Goods Regulations. To discuss, please ring 01604 438534 and mention reference 6796571." The second message stated: "We are proceeding with your active court order. An Enforcement Agent is scheduled to visit your residence. I just had a rather concerning call from this number earlier today. The person on the line claimed that I have outstanding council tax to settle. --------------------- I was informed that the enforcement notice has lapsed. They mentioned they would be attempting to seize my belongings under the Taking Control of Goods Regulations. I too have been sent a "Notice of Enforcement", but I understand that the Taking Control of Goods Regulations actually kick in only after such a notice has been formally issued. The reality is, I don’t owe any money, and I've not been served any official notification. This seems nothing short of a scam to me.

APOLOGY AND CLARIFICATION REGARDING NEWLYN. Back in March, on the 13th and 16th, I left some comments thinking this was a scam. It turns out I was wrong. We found out that some payments we’d assumed were sent through an agent for a rented property hadn’t actually gone through. Strangely, we never got any payment requests, court notices, or letters from Newlyn - probably the tenants just threw them away. Just a heads up to others, and a sincere sorry to the Newlyn staff member I wrongly accused of trying to scam me.
