It went straight to my voicemail and the caller kept saying "Hello, is the business owner there?" over and over. After a bit I realised they were just talking to my answerphone and then they hung up pretty sharply. Honestly, glad I didn’t pick up!

Day after day, this number rings my shop nonstop. Whenever I pick up, they just drop the call straight away. It’s driving me mad because I’m the owner and I need to answer calls in case it’s one of my suppliers. This means I have to keep stopping what I’m doing and upsetting my customers. I’m absolutely fed up with having to tell this company again and again to remove our number from their list. This morning I actually lost my cool and was quite harsh with the guy on the phone. I was in the middle of something important and had to rush upstairs because I was waiting for a really important call 😠

There was a long pause before anyone answered so I figured it was from a call centre. A guy with an Asian accent wanted to talk to the business owner. I told him we were registered with TPS and didn’t take unknown calls. He just said thanks and ended the call. If they ring back I’ll report it to TPS but since I don’t remember them calling before I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

Got a call from some bloke asking for the business owner. When I asked what it was about, he (an Asian guy with pretty poor English) went straight into this cheery spiel about saving loads on our phone line rental. I kept him chatting for a good five minutes before telling him exactly what I thought. Feels like Bangalore is invading Norwich! Brilliant!

They just ring and stay silent, then hang up. Sometimes they claim to be different companies when they actually speak. I've asked them to leave me alone but one time the caller got really cheeky. Just got another call from some dodgy little phone firm that won’t take no for an answer. They kept going on about how much money I could save on my mobile and how their broadband was lightning fast, but only if I switched to them, obviously. I told them straight up that I’m already paying less than what they were offering, but they didn’t seem to believe me. Then, surprise surprise, they suddenly dropped the price if I signed up right then (only a few pence less than my current deal anyway, so what’s the point?). I also said I only accept quotes via email from my company, asked them to send it over - predictably, I never got any message. Honestly, feels like a total scam.

Received a call previously but they hung up as soon as I picked up. Today they said they were from a company named The Phone Utility and wanted to talk to the business manager. The person had a very strong Indian accent. I asked for their company’s address, but they wouldn’t share it. Then I asked for the name of their Data Protection Officer, and again they refused. When I explained they had a legal duty to provide that info, they just said sorry and ended the call.
