Got a call on my home phone from an unknown number, 01594 826725. Felt a bit dodgy, might be one of those bitcoin scams going about lately. Anyone else had a weird call from that number?

phone just went dead as soon as the answerphone started up.

I picked up the phone and was met with a robo message saying something about a charge of £399 for an order I supposedly made. I didn’t hang around and just ended the call straight away. I’m pretty sure it’s dodgy, so I’ve blocked the number already. Still, I’m a bit anxious that just taking the call might have cost me somehow. Not quite sure what my next step should be now.

most calls about bitcoin scams are from people pretending to be finance experts saying you can make loads of money quick. Honestly, just blocking them is the easiest way to deal with it.

This month I've been getting loads of pesky silent calls. Strange thing is, the caller ID shows it's from abroad but when I checked my call log, it's a UK number ringing me. Bit confusing!

I just ignored it since it showed up as ‘international’, and to be honest, only my mum and dad usually call on this number. Had a quick look on this site and then went ahead and blocked it.

I picked up the phone but there was complete silence, then the caller just ended the call. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.
