Got a call from someone claiming to be from Halifax’s Luton branch. She started off by saying there was “nothing to worry about” and asked if she was speaking to me. She got my name right, which was a bit unsettling. Then she mentioned my nearest branch is in Hatfield, which is spot on. Oddly enough, the call cut off halfway through her sentence without me hanging up. Not sure what she was going to say next. Even though nothing suspicious happened, it’s creepy she had my name, number, bank, and where I roughly live. Going to switch up my password just to be safe!
