So yeah, this is my number but scammers have been using it to ring other folks. I guess these con artists can sort of spoof any phone number to make it seem like the call is from nearby. When people call me back, I usually explain this to them straight away.

The bloke had such a strong Asian accent I couldn’t catch a word, and I doubt his name was actually Daniel anyway. He claimed it was a legit call, something about the British Council, but I lost track and just ended it. Blocked the number straight away. Honestly, no clue what scam he was running, but I’d mark it as dodgy all the same. Hope everyone’s having a good Christmas!
