Got an early morning call on my landline from 01582340509, just a quick ring and no message left on the answerphone. I reckon it’s probably a scam or one of those annoying nuisance calls. Checked it out on this site (Who called me) and it seems to be linked to a TV insurance scam based around Luton. Though it’s likely they could be anywhere in the country since they use a VOIP system. Loads of people on here have said the same - it’s those billing contract scammers who keep cold calling and don’t bother leaving messages. Best thing is to not pick up and just block the number.

Had some pushy bloke ring me up claiming he could slash my phone bills, total scam if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming they could cut my phone bills in half. I told them straight up it sounded dodgy and ended the call. Total scam!

I'm pretty sure this is a scam, I haven't had any contact with that company at all.

I answered the call but said nothing, and they ended up hanging up. Usually means it’s a scam, from my experience.

Got a call from an Asian lady who claimed she could slash my landline bill by half and still let me keep my BT number. She said she was with some price comparison firm.

Asian-sounding voice speaking good English, but slightly hesitant. Steered away from identifying themselves. Focused at first on home phone usage. No friendly tone at all, just cold. Totally ignorant of any conversation, and was on a mission, trying to extract an answer from me. Then he tried asking about computer usage, at which point I said that because I didn't know who he was, I was not answering any questions, and I hung up. Be careful with this one.

I picked up the phone not knowing who was calling. A lady introduced herself but didn’t give much info. When I asked what she was calling about, she began rambling on about my TV, saying something odd about it working but then... I cut her off straight away, told her I wasn’t interested and asked her not to call again before hanging up. Less than a minute later, the same number called me back. I just let it ring through to voicemail, but she didn’t leave any message.

Had a call from someone with an Asian accent, spoke decent English but sounded quite unsure. They avoided saying who they were at first. The chat started up about my landline usage, and there was zero friendliness, just really blunt. They weren’t interested in any chit-chat, just pushing for answers. Then the caller switched to asking about my computer habits. I told them I wasn’t comfortable answering without knowing who they were, and ended the call. Watch out for calls like this!

I picked up the phone and as soon as I asked what the caller wanted, they just ended the call. Definitely seems like a scam to me.

Picked up the phone, no words from the other side, they just dropped the call, so I blocked the number.

Got a call from someone in Luton to a number up north, Leeds area. When I answered, the bloke just said hello and then dropped the call. Tried ringing back but the line just went dead straight away. Feels like they're targeting folks who might not be confident when they pick up. Definitely seems dodgy.
